DJ SIGI

During the heyday of electro, from 2004 to 2012, DJ Sigi took Belgium's nightlife scene by storm with his signature electro vinyl sets. His DJ career peaked in 2005 when he won the Diesel:U:Music contest, coming out on top in a tight race against formidable contenters such as Starski&Tonic aka the Subs. Unlike many of his colleagues, Sigi likes to infuse some humour and extra energy into his sets. During this time DJ Sigi played over 900 national and international gigs. The most memorable were The Warehouse (Leeds), 10 days off (3 times), Laundry day (10 times), Bunker, Dour, ADE and his residencies at Club Silo, Happy/Dissonant and Kamping K at Petrol and Capital Antwerp. As of 2012 vinyl started to slowly disappear among DJ's and so did DJ Sigi, who not felt the urge to play on another format. However his love for playing vinyl never died. Now being 40+, he decided to launch a new concept called GOOR in Antwerp. He has a monthly residency at the Antwerp webradio We Are Various and recently played gigs at Bonnefooi (Brussels), Charlatan (Gent), Het Bos (Antwerp). DJ Sigi has shared decks or flyers with: Justice (FR), Les petits pilous (FR), D.I.M (GER), Housemeister (GER), Congorock (ITA), Jamie Anderson (UK), Ida Engberg (SWE), Tiefschwarz (GER), M.A.N.D.Y (GER), Dr Lektroluv (BEL) and many other legends in the electronic music scene. Today he is ready for the next chapter in his impressive DJ career.
